Hardware engineer. Founder. Poet.
أَحْسِنْ، إِنَّهُ يَرَى
Ahsin. Innahu yara.
Do it well. He sees.
I build things you can hold.
For ten years I made hardware inside other people’s companies. Some of it shipped to a lot of people. Then I started making my own. A pen. A notebook. A small device that plugs into a phone. A glove that helps a hand close again.
I write too. Poems, mostly, and essays.
The short version
- 2017–2022 Apple Product design engineer on the Vision Pro, from first idea to full production. 20 granted US patents
- 2022–2025 Hoopfit, Amazon A ball-throwing robot built in a garage. Then the lenses inside Amazon’s glasses for delivery drivers. Six machine builds
- 2022– noble. crafters Founder. A pen and a notebook, cut from solid titanium and steel. $88,318 from 909 backers

Consulting
I take on a small number of hardware projects a year. I can take one the whole way, including the electronics and the firmware.
- Getting a design ready to build in large numbers.
- Building the first working version of something new.
- Things worn on the head or the body, and the lenses inside them.
- Standing in as head of hardware while you look for one.
Work
Writing
- Before Apple, I washed dishes for money A museum, a phone call, and the two weeks in between.
- The door latch I threw a prototype across the room. It landed next to the answer.
- Two days without AI I ran out of tokens. They were the most productive two days I have had in years.
- A night under the stars Lying on the ground at Hajj in the clothes I will be buried in.
- Falling Somewhere You Will Never Know Going back to Dhaka after eight years away, and what was still there.
- The curb cut effect People poured the ramps themselves. Then everyone started using them.
